Car Immobilizers -thoughts?

HI All,

So I've think I've decided on the Honda civic coupe! Really pumped for my new car. But then I found out that it was stolen a lot especially the older models.

Anybody ever had a immobilizers installed in their car before? Should I do it? Anybody have a cost?

That kill switch thing is a neat idea...

Some dealerships are requiring these now on people with bad credit ratings. If you miss payments they shut them off.

I don't think I would care to pay for those dealer immobilizer things but a kill switch seems like a smart and very inexpensive proposition.
