Yeomans are basically like personal assistants and secretaries. Kirk wasn't that comfortable with having an attractive female one when the role is usually occupied by men prior, I can understand his perspective. It was probably jarring.

Considering the different uniforms of the Enterprise and Discovery, it would be interesting to see a hat that seamlessly blends both styles. Perhaps a fusion of the two, incorporating elements that represent both eras. This way, Captain Pike can showcase his authority and adaptability across different ships.

If we ever see him wear it, he should only wear it reluctantly, grudgingly and only because full dress uniform is required for some reason.
