Captain Phasma (Spoilers)

Is the whole "Phasma might not be evil" theory just based on the fact that she lowers the shields when people pointed a gun at her, though?
Seems a little far-fetched then.

I did think it was strange Phasma went and lowered the shield with so little fight. Maybe she is a Hosnian?

I didn't think Phasma survived when I saw the movie - they shove her down a garbage shoot off-screen, then the planet blows up. I'm not even sure Hux survived based on the movie itself.

But if she did, wouldn't she be in DEEP SHIT if anyone found out she wimped out & lowered the shield to save herself? The First Order probably could find out whos security code deactivated the shield. Imagine that awkward conversation.

Which brings me to my own fan theory: Phasma quits the 1st Order & turns independent bounty hunter. Has a grudge against the heros.

I believe that there was enough time for both Captain Phasma and Kylo Ren to escape. After Poe destroyed the Oscillator Over-thruster, Chewie had enough time to get to the MF, find where Rey and Finn was. Land the MF, go and retrieve and carry Finn back to the MF, take off and rendezvous with the remaining X-Wings before the planet blew up.

I thought of that myself while watching the movie, and then thought to myself, what would I do in that situation if I worked for an evil organization that wouldn't hesitate to kill me if they ever found out? ... Use someone else's code Can imagine Kylo calls in some unknown officer in the next movie and give him hell as he explains that his code lowered the shield, and Phasma just stands there keeping her cool (of course being around Kylo then would be dangerous, what if he tries to read her mind?)

The New Order seems to have a lot more trouble with the reliability of their soldiers than the Empire did. I mean, other than the fact that neither army was big on marksmanship.

Snoke does order Hux to rescue Kylo, so if Kylo is back in Episode 8 (which he likely is) Hux will by extension also be back.

I was surprised that with all the promotion they were giving this character and Gwendoline Christie doing the talk show circuit like there was no tomorrow, we actually saw very little of Captain Phasma in the final movie. I think Daniel Craig had a bigger role.

Maybe she had a hot date with Constable Zuvio.

No, the character was cut from the film and apparently toy companies were working off any earlier version.

Snoke does order Hux to rescue Kylo, so if Kylo is back in Episode 8 (which he likely is) Hux will by extension also be back.

Of course they both survive - otherwise the scene with snoke saying - 'get kylo and come to me so he can complete his training' is pointless.

I have a hunch she'll be coming back in the role of a bounty hunter, myself. Nothing to really back it up, just a strong hunch.
