I was four when I took my first trip to Disneyland, back in 1988. It was the hottest and most crowded part of the year; the drinking fountains had no water flowing out of them, and we waited two hours to get a hot dog. Went on Dumbo and the Carousel (which took about 2 hours in line for each), then took a late-day rest at the hotel room. Came back and went to Captain Eo and Star Tours (which I fell asleep on as I was suffering from heat stroke).
Next day we were supposed to go to Knott's Berry Farm, but I was so sick my parents decided on us just heading home. I remember, quite vividly, sitting at Denny's, being unable to stomach the idea of eating, and being very disappointed that we weren't going to go to KBF, even though I had no idea what it was.
So amongst all the bad memories of my first trip to Disneyland, only a few good ones stand out: riding Star Tours (of what I didn't miss while sleeping on the ride), meeting Goofy and Mickey, and most vividly of all, watching Captain EO, my first 3D movie ever.
I think it'd be cool if Disney had a limited release of Captain EO at theaters in Disney Digital 3D. That'd be awesome.
