Thanks for those refs! Ironically, it looks like my version of that raised tab is more accurate to the screencap than Casimiro's or Chamberlain's, lol.

I don't want to add anything to a detail that was seen on-screen... I want to be faithful to how it was originally depicted. I think one of the big problems many fans have when adapting designs, is that they tend to like to "over-enhance", and go overboard, which does a lot more harm than good to a design.

I can totally understand this approach and I applaud it. I thought you were looking to make some changes to the April-era Enterprise, to distinguish it from the Pike-era ship.

I agree with you, I think the TOS Enterprise is especially susceptible because it's details were so simple, a square here a circle there. Excellent work on this though!
