Captain America: The Winter Soldier pre-release thread

Since the director/writers of the first movie said it was Zola's experiments that allowed Bucky to survive the fall, I'm guessing his appearance will be in that context, at least. So flashbacks to the Winter Soldier's origins.

Has anyone posted this yet? A quick glance backwards suggests no. If so, that obviously cannot stand:

She a pretty good actress? I never watched Everwood. I don't watch Revenge. Does the have the toughness to be Sharon?
She's very good. She was the female lead on Everwood, one of the best-written teen dramas in the last few decades, and had a lot of emotional range there. On Revenge she plays a tough, emotionally cut-off vengeance-seeker convincingly enough (I was initially a little unsure when I saw she'd been cast).

Kevin Feige said in a recent interview that this will be more of a "political thriller", which is in line with the tone of the Ed Brubaker comics that inspired it.

I agree with what he said about how comic films can adapt to a number of "tones". First Cap was a period piece, this one is rooted in a political thriller, Thor2 is going to be more fantasy epic.

Filming on this is what, April or March?

It doesn't say anything about when filming starts on it's Wikipedia page, but it did say that stages were being built at the end of last month, so it must be sometime fairly soon.

Robert Redford joining S.H.I.E.L.D.?

Here is a fun Marvel scoop. I’m hearing that Robert Redford is in discussions to join the cast of Marvel’s Captain America: The Winter Soldier, the sequel that brings Chris Evans back as the shield-carrying superhero. Redford is in talks to play a senior leadership role in S.H.I.E.L.D., the superhero collective run by Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury character
.

Another strong casting coup by Marvel.

Anthony Hopkins
Tommy Lee Jones and now Robert Redford.

Hollywood royalty wants to play in the MCU, they are clearly liking the scripts they are seeing.

You know who Redford's gotta be playing, right? It's right there in the "senior leadership" line. In the comics, Samuel L. Jackson's version of Nick Fury was recently introduced to the mainstream Marvel Universe...as Nick Fury Junior.

Redford's gonna be following in the footsteps of David Hasselhoff - he's gonna be the classic gray-templed cigar-chomping Nick Fury Sr.

Redford is a big get, as he's selective with what he does. Neither of those guys really compare; they're like Michael Caine, in that they'll do any movie where the price is right.

I'm guessing Redford will be playing an older SHIELD agent whose has been involved with Winter Soldier-related cases in the 60s/70s.

Wow, that would be pretty awesome if he did do it. Has Redford ever done this kind of a big budget sci-fi movie?
