Eh, I suppose. Maybe it's me. A lot of folks seem to have taken the same thing from IM2 as you did.
In the comics the Carters were an old Virginia family.Since all but one of those actresses mentioned are British (and Brie just did a supporting role with what was supposedly a pretty good English accent), it's clearly Sharon.

And? In the movies, Peggy is British, so Sharon will presumably be as well.In the comics the Carters were an old Virginia family.Since all but one of those actresses mentioned are British (and Brie just did a supporting role with what was supposedly a pretty good English accent), it's clearly Sharon.
Mystique isn't American? I don't think any of the versions of the character I've come across have ever had any kind of accent ('90 animated series, Evolution, Wolverine and..., the movies)?
I'm a huge GoT fan, so I would love to see Emilia Clarke get the role.
I like Kendrick as well. She's one of the better 20-something talents out there now imo. Perhaps she could be Janet/Wasp in the Ant-Man film.I wish Anna Kendrick was still in the running. I don't know any of the other names very well and as much as I like Brie I just can't see her playing a Brit in the film.
No, it was definitely deliberate. The three finalists for the part were all English. Part of them trying to broaden the film's international appeal.Though I wonder if she became British because of the actress cast.

Oh, and to amend my earlier statement, Teresa Palmer is Australian, not British, but she's also done accents.
