hi, im a newbi to this forum but i remember playing a trek game years ago and it had a great 3d feel to it, had nice round planets and a sun in a solar system type layout, i also remember fighting klingons/romulans/vulcans one of them im not sure but i flew really close to the sun and they followed, the solar radiation nearly killed me but it killed them much quicker, anyone remember this game?

also does anyone have a list of star trek games, im trying to find all/most of the games and even some good online ones, amazon only has a few avalible.

Welcome to the TrekBBS, Vamperalmighty! :)

I think the game you're describing sounds like Starfleet Academy, which came out in 1997. But since you mentioned Vulcans, it may also have been the recently released Legacy. Let me know if you can remember any more about the game, and I'm certain someone will come along and help you if these games are not what you're looking for. :bolian:

Oh, and here's your list.

The only trek game where the sun can kill you with radiation that I know of is Klingon Academy.

Its sounds to me like one of the Starfleet Command III games, it has nice round planets, a big sun and if you fly to close to it it will slowly destroy you....Flying to close to the sun with all your power in your shields was a popular tactic in SFCIII when you weer running away from other ships.

Did it look anything like the pic below...

that looks like thats the one, im gonna pick that one up on amazon, i really enjoyed the game way back in the day, and i kinda wanna use some of its play for a mod that i am doing for the x3 reunion game. "note: mod may be put off till x4" lol

SFCIII had a very short release due to the problems with the Activation VS Viacom law suits, so SFCIII never did get as many copies released as some of the previous games, that's why its still so pricey to buy second hand. :(
