Nick Wauters said that the season finale for The Event will wrap up everything from this season and have a set-up for a possible second season. So I guess it teases what might have been. So you might as well watch it. Ausiello claims they will do something never done before ever on tv--I've looked around to see what that may be and nothing is coming out. I quit watching it long go because it was boring but I'll probably watch it to see what this "never done before on tv" thing is. Or if it is just hype.

CBS has finally axed $#*! My Dad Says, The Defenders and Mad Love. That leaves CSI: NY and Criminal Minds: Suspect Behavior awaiting their fates and while I do expect both to return, I wonder if CSI:NY might only get 13 episodes.

Sadly, I really don't care about any one of these shows. Is that saying something?

Any word on Blue Bloods? They've got a good Friday night lineup as it is. I wouldn't be surprised if it stayed the same.

CBS has already started plans on a slight re-tooling of the show so a 2nd season is a lock.

Mad Love too?? I really liked that show. Sarah Chalke is on my List....

I swear to God they might as well just put fucking American Idol and Dancing with the Has Beens on seven days a week and forget scripted television altogether.

:scream:

Blue Bloods, Five-O and Mike n Molly have been confirmed now for 2nd season's. The only show left is the Criminal Minds spinoff which is as 50/50 as you can get but I think CBS should let it air 13 in the fall to see if it picks up.

Everything on that list sucks. Chuck used to be good but that's not the case anymore. They could axe every single one of those and TV would be better off. Depending on what might replace them of course.

TV is seriously dying. I just don't get why shows never get more than a season anymore due to ratings and the show they replace it with only gets it a season too. Make no sense at all. Of the shows on that list the only one I've seen is Two and a Half Men.

Not on the list but a VERY long running show anyway...

FOX cancels America's Most Wanted after 23 years

OK, now that caught me by surprise. It's not like it had a huge budget or took up an important slot or anything. It was a quasi-public service announcement at times.

TV sucks that's why--nobody watches the new garbage it gets canned they bring in more garbage nobody watches it gets canned. The key to end this is to give us better, well written shows.

All the OTT hyperbole aside, TV faces more and more competition than ever before so thats a problem despite quality. Network TV also faces problems with more people having cable then ever before strecthing out the live audience more and more + DVR penetration is geting higher and higher into live numbers.

They don't make quality accessible programming for children any more.

You lose the kids, and your old people are dying off because the warning labels on cigarettes aren't big enough.

People are watching more hours of TV than ever before. The audience is just spread out more, that's all. TV isn't dying, it's flourishing, but some aspects of the business need to get their act together, that's for sure.
