As I recall, the issue never went before the House, did it? It came directly from the PMO.

As I recall, the issue never went before the House, did it? It came directly from the PMO.

Nope, there was a vote on re-instating it in September 2010. Passed 152-141.

That's a silly attitudes. Constitutions and laws can be changed. Things can change in the course of 200+ years, you know.

I think you are missing out on the bulk of my reasoning since I did not explain it.

The people most often complaining about the census in the US are the small-government, Tea Party, strict Constitutionalist types. So I just find it ironic when they complain about something that's spelled out right there in the US Constitution as an explicit power and responsibility of the federal government.

I don't care about the census one way or the other. I fill it out and send it back and don't worry about it.

ha, yeah, the one at my work is rather pathetic. She went on with FUCK THEM, THE GOVERNMENT WANTS TO CONTROL US, NWO SOON, I WONT GIVE THEM MY INFO, LET THEM TRY TO ARREST ME and then as soon as they told her they would arrest her, she filled it out.

I got my US one in the mail last year, and it got lost in a pile for 6 months until it was too late to fill it out. Luckily I didn't have to serve any time in a federal pound me in the ass penitentary.
