This July my brother will get married to his long-time girlfriend. As his sister, I feel it is my holy duty to give them the most awesome present ever! As a person lacking imagination, I find this to be increasingly hard.
Anyway, I have now decided to give them something which celebrates their love. (Ingenious, no?) I first of all wrote letters to their favorite sports teams and have already received several personalized congratulations letters. I would also like to add photos which kind of immortalize their marriage in all corners of the world. What I imagine are as many pictures as possible of a simple sign saying Jan & Inga (yes, their names), encircled by a heart, taken in as many diverse places as possible.
Which is where the TrekBBS comes in. Could you write that simple sign any place you can think of? This could be anywhere: written in the sand on a beach, on a tree you think looks boring without adornment, with chalk (or paint, if you dare) on a street which desperately needs some love. Then, take a picture of it, but also give some kind of information about where this picture was taken. Either by putting a newspaper next to it, or by writing directly with a (not waterproof) pen on the city sign near you. Anything you can think of, really.
The more places, the better. The more people you know around the world and who would participate, the merrier. I am also tapping into as many sources as I can, but I feel that it could really snowball from here.
I will also take a picture within the next few days, as soon as I find the time, which I will then also post here. I really hope that by then this thread will be swarming with Jan & Inga pictures.
