YouTube videos should only need the Flash plugin to play (I'm guessing you're using Firefox?) If Flash is not enabled, you might get a message like that.This site keeps saying : a plugin is needed to display this content.

Depends on the browser and vintage of OS, I believe. If your rig is all brand-new, then yes, clips would automatically play in HTML5. If your rig is a few years old, like what I'm using, then it still needs Flash to play.Aren't most YT clips in HTML5 format now? Shouldn't even need Flash anymore, esp. since Flash is such a security risk.
