Thank God for the drooling masses.
Most of whom are easily as intelligent - not to mention a good deal less obsessive - than the folks trying to mock them.

People do like stuff that isn't all filled with explosions and those films can make money. There's more intelligent people out there than you seem to give credit for. There's many different factors why certain movies don't do a well as they should.

- This movie is popular
- The complainers have to dismiss it.
- They mock the audience.
Not complicated, but not much to watch.

So your measurement of somethings quality comes down to "it's popular... so it's good".
By that logic Transformers 2 must be twice as good as Star Trek 2009 and the quality of Titanic is many times that of Star Trek 2009.![]()
Not 'copy and paste', I typed it with my own little hands.

It's been tried before by someone else, therefore it's a copy & paste comment, as in unoriginal (and silly.)
It was probably my comment.![]()
How many people did you see saying "I liked it because it made a lot of money?" In fact, where in Dennis' comment did it warrant that kind of response? And I stand by it. Too many people come running in here to fawn over this film because it made money. They seemed more interested in the franchise being popular rather than it being good.

No.

And my comment was towards 'Lovers' rather heartwarming dismissals of people who dislike this film over the last year.
If you're going to post a link, you might as well link to the post, rather than to the start of the thread and make people dig for the post (yours) which you've more or less repeated here,It was probably my comment.![]()

It was Captain Robert April who made the comment... I just ran with it.

Now:...Transformers 2 is at least twice as good as Star Trek based on the worldwide totals!
By that logic Transformers 2 must be twice as good as Star Trek 2009...
You have.I feel like I've seen this popularity discussion 100 times before. Maybe 1,000.
