Can I get a moment of silence, please...

I'd like everyone to pause for a moment, and reflect.

Raise your glass and let's toast to the memory of all the good men and women we lost.

For this year marks the 15th anniversary since the end of the Eugenics Wars of 1996. :rommie:

May we never forget. *Raises glass.*

I remember it well the day Khan's defeat was reported. There was celebration in the streets, normal business was suspended for nearly a week.

I personally don't buy the conspiracy theories that Khan and his most loyal followers built a rocket and are now living in deep space. Or did they freeze themselves? That's just bullshit, regardless what story it is. Those monsters are clearly dead.

With the lack of an official world holiday - or in fact any news coverage at all - I can only assume a massive, global cover-up.

Say, whatever happened to that 'Botany Bay' deep-space cruiser NASA was working on back in the mid-nineties? The war must have affected the budget, or something.

Hey guys, I just wanted to share with you the news! The Great and Glorious Khan is alive!!!!!

He's alive and well!!

I myself am the living proof of his existence and soon he will return to lead us all from the depths of this hellish life and lead us into glory!! I know because he told me so!!!

I just saw him today, at our local Burger King. He was wearing chrome sunglasses and sporting long pork chop sideburns and with a curled lip asked me to spread the word!! Soon he will drop the disguise and take that which is his birthright!!!!

So there!! Pass it on!!!

With all the trauma I encountered, I think I blocked it all from my memory.
Don't feel bad, a offal lot of people just went about their business like there was no war at all. The folk here in Los Angeles in the mid ninety certainly seem to.

The disappearance of Henry Starling receive far more press coverage.

^ Eh? Trek's WWIII didn't start until 2053.

(The barely readable Defiant readout screen in IAMD pt. 2 claims that the war started in 2029, but I find that hard to believe. No way could a nuclear war, or even a war which at any time involved nukes, last 24 years.)

I was so hoping to migrate to one of the Mars colonies, but the war got in our way. Too bad that Khan fellow was never found, eh?

With with what MA said. (2026)

True story. My Grandfather was a general in one of the brigades that went after him just. He was on the phone with him. He screamed "Khannnn!" on the walkie talkie after a nursery school was nuked.

Oh yeah? Me and the rest of the superhumans are on the Botany Bay right now. (The wireless is patchy but serviceable.)

I just wish someone would tell me where we're supposed to be going!

Go to sleep. We'll wake you when we get there.
