Calories vs. Fat Calories

To be fair, I am approaching this from a bodybuilding standpoint. Bulk up, then cut down for competition.

True, but for the average person who is looking to slim down, high protein/fat is more harm than it is worth. I have done the cutting diets and I have always ended up sorry in the end.

Fair enough. I've always been fairly slim, so I don't have a lot of experience with cutting down. I just know what I read.

I have always been slim too, but a few years ago I noticed I was putting on a few unwanted pounds after an injury and so I did a cutting diet, and ended up sick as hell, back down to my original weight, but sick nonetheless.

The most successful diets are calorie controlled - where you eat exactly what you want to eat but less of it.
