Calling Those Who Can Read Any Foreign Language

I would be much appreciative of anyone willing and able to oblige me. I maintain a collection of desktop wallpapers/backgrounds Sony includes with their VAIO computers. In an effort to make the collection easier for non English speakers to find, I tried my best to say "VAIO Wallpapers" in several languages at the bottom pf the page, hoping search engines would pick up on the text. I only speak English so it is quite difficult to confirm the accuracy of what I posted. If anyone recognizes any errors below I would love to correct them.

In Dutch we either just refer to them as wallpapers or "bureaublad achtergrond". But I see you have not listed Dutch

The French usually refer to wallpapers as 'fonds d'écran.' The term you used is for wallpaper you put on physical walls.

German Version says "Hintergrundbilder von VAIO" (Backgroundpictures of VAIO which is a bit rough grammatically)

A better version should just read VAIO Hintergrundbilder which means Vaio Wallpapers.

Ok thanks. I think I sourced the French from this swiss page. Might I presume their brand of French has these sort of differences? ...or perhaps they were using the same methods I used to find translations.

Fondos - Обои на рабочий стол

The strict translation of this in Russian is: "wallpaper on working table" (no articles in Russian so there is no 'a working table' or 'the working table' possible). But just for fun, I ran it through a Russian translator and it came back as "Wall-papers on a desktop" which is close too (I guess this translator assumes articles).

And as long as I had it open, I put "desktop wallpaper" into the translator, and it came back as настольные обои, which makes sense if you understand Russian and is strictly translated as "tabletop (desktop) wallpaper"

Personally, I'd opt for настольные обои

As the terms desktop and wallpaper have multiple meanings in any language, it makes this a lot harder. Across multiple russian wallpaper sites, "обои" seems to be the only consistent word. I derived the Russian I have up now and that of several other languages from the multilingual club vaio site (Russian - http://club.vaio.sony.ru/clubvaio/ru/ru/fun/wallpapers/). I don't know how adept their people are so I am unsure of the accuracy of this site. I know one fluent Russian speaker. I'll see if he's up on his computer vocabulary.
