Are you an Australian Queer and like Science Fiction?

I am writing a book about gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender and queer Australians who watch science fiction film and television and read science fiction literature.

What is it that makes science fiction attractive to queer audiences?

This will be a book to allow queer Australians a way to tell their own personal stories about how they came to like science fiction and what is it that keeps us going back for more.

What is it about our gay, lesbian, bisexual, transgender or queer identities that is reflected or ignored in science fiction

Do you have any reason to believe that what attracts queer Australians to science-fiction is any different than that which attracts non-queers to science-fiction?

To me, it's a little bit like suggesting that what attracts dark-haired individuals to hamburgers and fries is different than that which attracts blonde-haired individuals to hamburgers and fries.
