Californication gets a 3rd season

Good news. We'll get a 3rd season with 12 episodes.
It's one of my favorite shows. And though I found season 1 to be better, season 2 has been quite enjoyable too so far.

I'll be very glad to see more of Moody and his adventures

LOS ANGELES (Hollywood Reporter) – Showtime has green-lighted a third season of its comedy series "Californication," which stars David Duchovny as a hedonistic Los Angeles writer.
The premium cable network has ordered 12 episodes scheduled to go into production in the spring for a late 2009 premiere.
Duchovny plays Hank Moody, novelist/blogger who struggles to raise his Goth-loving teen daughter (Madeleine Martin), while still carrying a torch for his disapproving ex-girlfriend (Natascha McElhone).
Evan Handler also stars in the series, which is created and executive produced by Tom Kapinos. Duchovny won a Golden Globe this year for his role.

I haven't seen season two, but I greatly enjoyed season one on DVD and will be happy to see Duchovny continue in the role for a little while longer. Good news.

God I hope they keep Ashby around - that dude's a riot. :lol:
 
I was really glad to hear this becausse watched season 1 this summer and loved it and season 2 has been great fun. Even better news after hearing that the show ratings were down from last year but maybe they re-boucned.

Californication & Dexter = Perfect sunday nights.
 
I haven't seen any episodes from the second season, but I couldn't help but notice that as the first season progressed, there were fewer & fewer bare boobs per episode. And only one episode that had a nun offerin' blowjobs.

If this trend has continued, why would Showtime give the series a third season?

Maybe they gave it a 3rd season because it's a great, entertaining show ? :p

Anyway, there are some boobs and mouth raping in season 2... And some porn film making.
Not as much boobage as season 1 but the show is still great fun to watch.

But sadly, we haven't seen Zima's tits again and we most likely will not

I watched season 1 and the episodes were all over the place and the show felt like a mess, I haven't bothered to watch the second season.
 
^I think that is kind of the point. Hank Moody is clearly not the most stable individual.
