Calculating the Dax Symbiont's Birthday

Photon

Commodore
Commodore
Just thinking about it, we should be getting fairly close to its date of birth (Earth standards)

By my lazy calculations between 2015 to 2025

I would imagine the trill has the average lifespan of a human being in the 22nd and 23rd centuries, which is over a hundred apparently. So you just take a hundred and something and multiply it by 7, right?

Except that Joran, Torias, and Jadzia all died young - even if you don't count Joran, that's going to take a couple centuries off your total. And you're not joined until you're twenty or so. And even Dax's other hosts didn't always get the symbiont for 100 years - Memory Alpha shows Curzon as a host from 2285-2367.

As a matter of fact, Memory Alpha shows the Dax symbiont as being born in 2018.
