If I'm hanging out with a Calamarain I'm in space and dead.

If I'm hanging out with a Borg drone, there's a chance I might be able to walk away because they're too busy screwing a data port or something.

Well, the implication was that you'd be able to survive if you chose the Calamarain. Maybe they could create a special space pod for you, etc.

Also, the hive-mind. It's all that the hippies ever wanted! No more need for smoking pot! Also, fake boobs! Not that I value the aesthetic value of plastic breasts much, but if you're in for the ride, you might as well take advantage of what is offered. They'll saw my arms off and puncture my eyeballs, but hey, that's worth some plastic sown onto my chest.
