I remember hearing Olbermann say outright that Palin was an idiot. Ruffled quite a few feathers he did, and I'm sure he ruffled the wrong ones because that's why he got the boot (that and he donated money when he shouldn't have).

In fairness, I'm forced to say to you essentially what I said upthread to Captain Craig:

I'm sorry, but I am not privy to the details of why the contract between MSNBC and Keith Olbermann was ended. Are you? Do you know any details, that you are free to divulge to the rest of us? Or is your assertion, that Keith Olbermann "got the boot", merely an unsubstantiated and speculative rumor?

And I'll go on and repeat the rest of what I said to him as well.

I can think of several reasons why MSNBC and Keith might part ways, without it being even remotely the case that MSNBC got rid of him. However, since I have no way to substantiate any of them, I cannot justify uttering them.

I can't say i care one way or another that he is stepping down or whatever you choose to call it. People like Beck and Olberman have turned me off politics all together. I think both sides are so entrenched in their ideology and rhetoric that if some one disagrees with them they rip them to shreds. And that is on both sides. I try to stay open minded and make my own decisions. Not let some douche bag talking head tell me what to think. Alas more and more news outlets seem to be showing their political opinions and not reporting facts. But i do respect that he can pull in ratings. Love him or hate him people watch him. Kinda like Stearn back in the day.

MSNBC got rid of Olberman who was every bit as left wing looney as Beck was right wing.

Olberman was never as crazy as Beck. It's ridiculous to even try and argue that as fact.

Well, that opinion is based off of some pretty solid observation.

Many see Olberman as being just as fanatical minus the chalkboard. That you don't would only highlight your bias.

Well until you show me clips of him calling for the eradication of an entire branch of thought as if it were a cancer, I feel my case that Olberman has not shown as extreme level of opinion as Beck is on pretty solid ground.

This sudden defense of Olberman only demonstrates how solidly to the left many here slant. You can't even see it. Beck was too right, Olberman too left. It is what it is. Sorry.

What sudden defense? You made an absurd statement and I called you on it. Nothing more.
