Bye Bye Glenn

I just heard while watching CNN that Fox News is getting rid of Glenn Beck. Is this true? can I flip through the channels and not hear the alien voice of his, talking about stuff he doesn't understand.

Given their respective (if not respectable) track record of presenting the facts with accuracy-
If Glenn Beck says he is leaving as a result of his own choice and
if Fox says that they are not getting rid of him
I am not convinced that Beck was not fired
(or that, at least, each side had strong motivations for making this happen).

Fox and Beck haven't been getting along, and this is a "we are fine" announcemnt. However Beck is leaving at the end of the contract, so he isn't fired.

I think Fox news programmer or whatever said that Glen Beck left and the show was canceled... or something sarcastic like that.

Fox has told him basically, not so much get the fuck off out BUT...

We don't want to see you again :p

Yeah but Beck was going to leave anyways and start his own made up news thing, and Fox didn't want him.

It's sad when Fox doesn't want the crazy guy.

Sounds like prunning has been going on.
A "cull your nuts" type thing.

MSNBC got rid of Olberman who was every bit as left wing looney as Beck was right wing.

A taming of the slanted rhetoric by both sides is win/win for us all.

Jon Stewart really needs to retire the whole Glenn Beck parody thing, it was funny the first time but is just sad now.

About damn time he gets the boot (you finally woke up to the reality of Glenn Beck, Fox News management!) but he's still contracted with Fox so it won't be long before he’s back with another round of crazy nonsensical rants & convoluted ideas through another medium.....sadly.

The media and world of politics would be much better off without the likes of Beck, Limbaugh & Olbermann (will probably be picked up by another network and doing the same old thing again soon).

Maniarek.

:rolleyes:Olberman was never as crazy as Beck. It's ridiculous to even try and argue that as fact.

@ Captain Craig: I'm sorry, but I am not privy to the details of why the contract between MSNBC and Keith Olbermann was ended. Are you? Do you know any details, that you are free to divulge to the rest of us? Or is your assertion, that "MSNBC got rid of Olberman" [sic], merely an unsubstantiated and speculative rumor?

I figure it was ongoing fallout from the political donations suspension, although it could have been something else entirely.
