I think they are doing a good job at not going overboard with premovie hype....they should do what they are doing and slowly ratchet up the PR. I can actually 'feel' a buzz factor starting to grow.

I am the resident STAR TREK dude where I work. And twice last week, fellow employees asked me if they are making a TREK movie for next summer or not. We all know the answer, but these two both saw Sylar on the cover of Entertainment Magazine recently and had NO idea they were making a TREK movie..

This movie is going to just go 'bang' next may...and I think its going to be big...Big...big...

Only time will tell..

The movie will be #1 at the box office opening weekend, maybe again the next weekend. After that it will drizzle off until the fall 09 when it gets a bloated DVD release where you can choose between vanilla edition, deluxe two-disc version, hyper-deluxe four-disc version, uber-deluxe four disc-version with Enterprise model, Abrams production notebook and an autographed Nimoy photo, limited to 0514 units, or the Blu-ray version. Then it will be forgotten about until 2012 when a new two-disc DVD edition of the movie is released to promote Trek XII.
