Butting heads or shaking hands?

...to bring into the show… I would love to work with Kate Mulgrew. She has the whole Captain command aura and presence about her, and that would be a real upheaval to the show. How would that work out? I see sparks all over the place, and with Captain Sisko. Not sure they’d get along. Those are two alphas. I think that would be really interesting.

So which two Trek characters would you like to have seen meet up? Would they argue or cooperate?

Although they actually co-starred together on Deep Space Nine, I always thought it would have been interesting to have Kira and Worf double-teaming, which to my recollection they never did. (Feel free to correct me, but there’s no particular Kira/Worf dynamic established, and I’d have liked to see how one played out — not romantically or anything, but given their respective but differing martial backgrounds.)

Picard and Gary Seven, since they have diametrically different views regarding the Prime Directive.

Picard: "We must not interfere with the natural development of less advanced species."

Seven: "That's kinda my job description." :)

Scotty meeting O'Brien. They would have the ultimate engineering geek out.
Technically, even though Colm Meaney wasn't in Relics, dialogue indicates that it was O'Brien that beamed Scotty and Geordi off of the Jenolin, and they were both in the lineup together being dressed down by Kirk in Trials and Tribblations, with only Chekov standing between them.:)

ETA: I just realized that that means even though Colm Meaney never shared any scenes with James Doohan, O'Brien and Scotty were in the same room together on two separate occasions. Huh. There's a fun piece of Star Trek trivia for you.

That wasn't even DS9's raciest bit. I distinctly remember Odo's security report in "Crossfire", concerning two station residents with a really... tempestuous relationship.
