Great episode even though I guessed that Michael's friend was a bad guy as soon as he showed up.

Did anyone else notice that Fiona's accent seems to have migrated to American? Maybe it's just me, but her one long bit of dialog had virtually no Irish in it at all. She sounded like a US native.

Hard not to love a Burn Notice episode. :) I'm so glad their seasons run in the summer - helps with hiatus withdrawal. ;)

She only had an Irish accent in the pilot. It was gone by episode two, and she mentioned something about blending in. Though it may have had more to do with Anwar sucking at the accent.

Huh. I've had the impression that the accent has been there all through the first couple seasons. No proof to back that up, just my general surprise that she seemed suddenly "all-American-girl." Isn't Anwar English, or am I just completely off-base?

Yes, Anwar was from England.

Her Irish accent vanished in episode two of season one. Michael even mentioned it.

So the only time you ever hear it is the prologue that starts every episode, i.e. "You're in Miami."

^

And "Should we shoot them?"

Re: Burn Notice: "Friends and Family" 6/4 PREMIERE - Grading & Discuss

She's slipped in a bit of the irish on a word or two here and there, just like last season she started to slip in a lot of "all american" and even a hint of cuban spanish in there once in a while.
