Holy crap! This is turning out to be the best "standalone helping people" plot this season.

And yes, this is the Mark Sheppard episode.

Wow...just awesome. I give it an excellent. Getting to see Michael in full "spy mode" is very fun indeed. I almost felt sorry for the bank robbers.

Love the Sam/Fi bickering.

And I laughed at Mom's "Mold? That sounds terribly unhealthy," as she blows a cloud of cigarette smoke in her son's face.

And Sam and the "perfect woman."
"That's just my friend. He's being held prisoner at a bank by armed robbers and wants me to go over with some explosive and blow a hole in the wall so all the hostages can escape. So, see you for lunch?"
:lol::lol:

I thought it was a brilliant episode.

Though once again, they take the easy way out at the end. Michael manuevering one bad guy to kill another.

I still don't see why it would make a difference morally if Michael just gunned down the bad guys himself.

The carping between Sam & Fi got on my nerves. Although the action/caper scenes were well-written, character definitely got short shrift in this episode.

It did strike me as odd that the bad guys didn't think it odd that this doctor knew so much about the mysterious guy on the phone.

But I suppose they were too busy freaking out to think straight.

I was kinda surprised at how gory it was. Seems like there was more blood in this story than just about any of their more 'action' oriented stories.

Still enjoyed it though.

I watched it this morning, great show! I liked how Michael and Bly worked together but were still at odds. Not enough of Fiona though, but Sam did an excellent job this week.

Well it was an exclusive bank and the "doctor" had to be there for some reason.

This was my thinking as well.

I thought the episode tied together very well.

I also liked the fact that Sam's Date wasn't getting the runaround from Sam (he was telling her pretty much the whole truth). I also liked the fact that she believed him even if she didn't think they were compatible because of it.

I hope she shows up again.

^ This is true. Kudos to the writers for not doing the predictable; "Well if you aren't really interested then why can't you be a man and just say so?!" scene.

^I know.

I was totally expecting that very scene and when it didnt' happen, I was impressed.

Burn Notice has been pretty consistent about not falling into a rut. They're continually shaking up who's with who, and who's against who. They do the "help the client stories" but always try to do it with a twist.

I know it's only season 2, but I can't think of any time thus far where the situations or stories have repeated themselves in some form later on.

Even in the situations where you would expect the same events to have the same results.

Carla's scared of what the hit means, and she's let Michael know it through the way she keeps giving in. It's gradual, but it's there if you look for it.

I can't wait to see the rest of the episodes.

Anyone know how many are left this season?

And does anyone know when Season 3 starts up?

There's a difference intellectually though he does it smart. Michael is a spy, not an action hero. If you shoot up every situation you're in, you're not going to be around long. The trick is getting someone else to do it for you.

Bly with Michael at the very end of the episode was great.

I hope he comes back. I think he know understands that everything is not as it appears with Michael's burn notice. He needs an ally on the inside.

Which actually brigns up another niggle about the show. With the assorted cars and buildings they blow up on a weekly basis, its a wonder that the FBI, ATF, and Homeland Security aren't crawling all over the city, or even hot on their trail by this time. Is there someone really high up keeping an eye on the teams little jobs and keeping the hounds at bay?

Well, its one of those things I think about for a few seconds before going back to enjoying the show. :)
