For being a Klingon Warrior, why was Worf such a lousy shot. It seems that quite a few times when he was involved in a fight/battle that he used a phaser, he proved to be not to good of a shot. Is it possible that he practiced so much with the bat'leth and the mek'leth that he ignored target practice with directed energy weapons???

not only that but those federation officers... seems like I'd have played with that targeting phaser and monster set too often as a kid and have broken it sharpening my quick draw abilities...

Conversely, I was always amused when the actors weren not pointing their phaser exactly at the bad guys, but the effects guys painted the beam in as a direct hit, even if it had to come out of the phaser at an angle.

I used to hear this a lot, but don't feel it is really borne out by observation of the scenes where he employs a hand phaser. However, his operation of the ship's phasers has a couple of instances of lousy marksmanship, or was edited to appear so.

I know there's a very very small thrill to be had out of seeing people reply to a thread you've started, probably one tenth of what it's like to get a letter in the mail, but the number of threads the original poster has started is getting big.
At least don't start with polls about the best ship or captain for God's sake.

Don't worry, I don't post just for the sake of posting, or seeing how many people respond to any question I pose, that would be totally lame. I just happen to have questions, if it bothers you don't bother responding to what I posted or better yet don't even bother reading them...

2 of 10, I'll point out that, as a rule, we don't allow a poster to start more than three new threads in one forum in a single day. That way the entire front page isn't dominated by a single person and threads started by other people aren't pushed off the page (the exact reason for this is a bit long and complicated, but let's just say it has to do with a former member who made it a headache for a lot of people).

That being said, I don't think you've passed that limit so far, so you don't have much to worry about.
