Building my Federation StarFleet...

Well, in the first month since I got my new computer, and since I got Blender, 3DExchange 6 PRO, and iClone 6 PRO, here it is so far: My Federation StarFleet.

Upper Left: Miranda Mk I as it appeared in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home, and Star Trek Generations (as well as various episodes of Star Trek Deep Space Nine)

Lower Center: The Constitution class refit. This is about the third or fourth (I lost count) time I've rebuilt this ship. I think this is the best build I've made for it yet. (Note the operant word: Yet!)

Upper Right: Miranda Mk II. This was actually the original design for what was supposed to be the USS Reliant in Star Trek II: The Wrath of Khan, but due to a signatory oversight by Harve Bennett, this design was scrapped in favor of the one we actually saw on screen. I based this ship off of the original sketches that were submitted to Bennett by its designers, Joe Jennings, Mike Minor, and Lee Cole.

All models and starfields built and rendered by Martok2112 in the aforementioned programs...

Most kind, thank you. :)
I'm debating my next build. Might be the Excelsior class... both the original and Enterprise B types. :)

On all of these ships are working gangway hatches (port and stbd sides of the saucer rim), working travel pod hatches, and under the saucer, a pair of airlock hatches which reveal two more travel pod hatches inside. Oh, and working shuttle bay doors too.

I really wanted to try to see if I could put some internal sets in the Connie refit, but it was proving to be just too much for the programs, so.... :)
