Budget Gaming PCs

I'm looking for something cheap that's just good enough to run TOR for awhile until I can get some cash to put something worth while together.

I don't really feel like building one ATM (nor do I really have the time), so I'd like to at least look into a pre-built one. I know about ibuypower/cyber power, but neither of those really seem like the deals people make them out to be--unless I'm missing something.

I was just wondering if anyone had any ideas or knew of any deals.

I have bought a desktop in years. I've either just built them or use laptops. (I prefer laptops these days.) So I don't have any idea what the current market is like in terms of quality.

Also, how are the integrated graphics these days?

What's your aversion to building a machine? It's the way to go if you're on a budget.

Nothing other than the time issue.

Figure that's probably what I'll end up doing. Just thought I'd ask first.

I went ahead and just order some parts from Newegg. I pretty much scraped the bottom of the barrel, but the MoBo has an IDE slot, and I have like three IDE DVD burners. All this stuff had free shipping. The card isn't much better than the on-board graphics, but at least it's dedicated GPU. And the fan/sink is supposedly better than stock. Hopefully, I should be able to get 3.5 out of it.

It's not much, but after all the discounts it was $425. Plus, there's about $20 of mail-ins. (Which I always do.) And as long as I can play TOR at a decent res at speed, I'll be happy--even with settings cranked down.

Eh. It's something I can pass-on to me mum when I get something better.

Code:
MEM 2Gx2|GSKILL F3-10666CL8D-4GBRM $31.99

PSU XIGMATEK| ACXTNRP-PC402 400W RT $34.95

VGA HIS|H467QR1GH HD4670 R $69.99

HDD 500G|ST ST500DM002 7.2K 16M % - OEM $39.99

CPU COOLER THERMALTAKE| A4022 RT $14.99

CASE APEX|TX-381-C RT $32.99

MS WIN 7 HOME SP1 32BIT 1PK - OEM $91.98

MB BIOSTAR A880G+ AM3 RTL $59.99

CPU AMD|ATH II X2 260 3.2G AM3 RT $64.99

It predominantly depends on your budget and whatnot.
If you can stretch to $600, you can probably assemble something better.

As for Integrated gpu's.
Actually, AMD's Fusion options are quite decent.
And even Intel's current gpu's (as bad as they are) can easily run WoW for example.
TOR shouldn't be too challenging though in the graphics department and I imagine it will be playable on a wide range of gpu's.

A discrete gpu though is a sensible option either way and the 4670 should do just fine.
But I think you can get something more current for the similar price tag.
