"Broken Sword: The Serpent's Curse" Kickstarter Project

I literally just stumbled upon this moments ago and was completely floored. I love adventure games, especially the Broken Sword series, and I'm kind of sad to see the genre has pretty much disappeared, for the most part. I really enjoyed the last Broken Sword game, The Angel of Death (Secrets of the Ark in the lame-o US ), so I was hoping that Revolution would make another game.

The Kickstarter project opened on August 22 and more than $266,000 (out of a $400,000 goal) has already been pledged, which is awesome. Unfortunately I don't have any spare cash to pledge at the moment, but the project is open until September 22 so I hope to be able to pledge at least something by then.

Are there any other fans of Broken Sword, or adventure games in general? Kickstarter seems like a great way to circumvent the traditional publishing system and allow the creators to make the game they want.

I can't really attest to the quality of adventure games as a whole since I'm not very good at puzzles to begin with and thus avoid the genre, but The White Chamber was pretty good IMO. The puzzles all make logical sense, the graphics are nice and there's multiple endings. And it's free, so there's that too. There's also an audio novel prequel on the website.

Unfortunately it's a bit on the short side, and as far as I can tell the studio hasn't done anything since.
