Britsh influence on Star Trek XI

I am willing to bet that most of the most ardent supporters of Star Trek XI and the most ardent detractors of the old fan base on here are British.

I would say that they are doing so because there are lots of their countrymen in the film, and because they are typical of their race. Unthoughtful and crafty. Typically thieving by nature their greatest hope is that they could get others to do their work for them rather than do it themselves.

And they would like to ruin the old star trek and promote a new one with their efforts.

Discuss.

It's simple.

I'm trying to get banned by your British masters who love the new film because it's a sack of intelectual nonsense.

Let's see what happens.

It will

There's loads of Brits here; moreover they're going to start complaining soon.

It's what they really do best: complain.

They couldn't maintain an indigenous car manufacturer. They never had a space programme. Their steel makers and semiconductor manufacturers are long gone. They're in short totally worthless.

Volume rises in inverse proportion to worth IMO. And the volume is about to increase.

You will have to wait a bit, its only 9.35 here in the UK, and its a Sunday morning, so most will be having a lay-in.

But all the best with your goals....strange though they may be.

I didn't understand a single word of the first post.

I'm not a Brit but Canadian (eh!!) and I got nothing against anyone from the UK, or the US, or Australia. As individuals, we all come here because we enjoy Star Trek and like to discuss it's merits and pitfalls.

As far as governments go, all our governments have pulled seriously asinine stuff, it's not a British only part. And In before thread lock :)

He's probably screeny-ing this whole thread and is going to sell it as ironic, post-modern art at an exorbitant price.

I think it more likely that you'll get banned because your OP is a sack of trolling, rather than due to anyone here being British.

But maybe that's just me and my healthy teeth talking.

Nothing I have done is trolling. I am and will remain a Star Trek fan, and true to myself. Everything I have said I believe in.

I think you all are at the least less than true star trek fans. And at the worst you are british.

But is there any point in having goals that are self defeating.....I mean once this thread is lock you will have gained nothing and have nothing...you will have become that which you seem to hate, goalless.

You're joking. I'm banned from an website; and you are still going to participate in it? How do I lose?

Personally I've lots of better things to do.

My only goal is to tell everyone on here how much I think the British have ruined this film. And to tell them that because of their presence that the film is not Star Trek. Amongst other reasons.

Yet you started this thread...strange reasoning.

1. The only Britons I can think of in the new film are Ben Cross as Sarek, Simon Pegg as Scotty, and the other Vulcan actors sans Zachary Quinto.

2. That's an incredibly bigoted way of describing the peoples of the United Kingdom -- who are not, by the way, a "race," and whose ethnicities include the English, Irish, Welsh, Scots, Cornish, Africans, Italians, Dutch, French, Greeks, Poles, Turks, Indians, Pakistanis, Bangladeshis, Sri Lankans, Romnichal, Burmese, Chinese, Filipino, Koreans, Afro-Carribbeans, Kenyans, Ugandans, and dozens more.
