no, i'm sick of people using the wrong bloody word and making theirselves look like idiots. i mean, come on, it's not that hard! just because you Americans pronounce 'due' as 'doo' when we say 'joo', it's still no excuse to use the wrong spelling.

Look, I'm just as anal when it comes to correct punctuation and spelling but it compared the state of spelling and punctuation on the Internet it's a small thing. So I think you should reserve your consternation for youtube comments, texting and Face Book. Bottom line, do instead of due isn't all that terrible.
I think you should take a look at what you write before having a go at others. Their is a little thing called a capital letter which is used at the beginning of a sentence and when talking about yourself.
Learn this and then the next time you decide to get all pissy about the English language, you won't fail so utterly and make an arse of yourself.

Making something and doing something are flipsides of the same coin, so "Make Do" seems much more appropriate.
I'm not arguing Capt Calhoun is wrong, just saying, it's no wonder people get it wrong, if "Make Do" really is incorrect, because "Make Due" makes no sense to use when you mean "Get by"

Well in the US the school system is crappy anyhow. It is hit or miss, and I have gotten used to incorrect grammar and spelling on forums. Government shoves cash at lazy teachers who don't do well, and are protected by their powerful lobbying unions, while good teachers eek out their work at minimum pay simply because they aren't tenured..
It is a revolting and insane policy.
However, I myself have been guilty of incorrect spelling in this very forum. My excuse is simple, I am lazy and don't feel like fixing it. I apologize if that offends some of you here, but it is true..
Although sometimes I feel like some of you are "Rimmer" and just being crazy. LOL

I freely admit that I'm not the worlds best speller and on occasion my grammar isn't as perfect as it should be. However, I do try and get it right and hell, even when I am IMing someone and I make a spelling error, I correct it with an asterisk. Oh and as for Rimmer, I think there is a little bit of Arnold Judas Rimmer in all of us.

Would be so cool to have Rimmer and lister appear briefly in the new who.. like on a massive spaceship, and just walk by talking to each other.. as the doctor runs by looking back..that would be such a cool thing. I must admit I love Red Dwarf as much as Doctor Who.

The thing is, as funny and as off the wall as Red Dwarf was, the cast were made up of very good actors. I would love to see any of them show up in Doctor Who. Having written that, I would love to see The Cat as a companion
