Brian Brophy didn’t return?

The Great Red Spot is actually just a giant bowl of chili Brian Brophy has been cooking for the last few centuries. He's heating it constantly so that he always has a fresh bowl of chili at hand whenever he gets hungry while planet-hopping.
I heard it was the result of his having a bowl of chili from his last mission to Jupiter.  :cardie:

Brian Brophy runs faster than Usain Bolt.

Looking at his IMDb credits, it seems his career never really expanded beyond appearance on TNG, more often playing nameless characters like "Store Manager" and "Reporter". Has he had a notable role besides Bruce Maddox? Based on that, it would make sense that the PIC production would want an actor that was a little more active. It's only a one episode appearance, but there's a lot more being asked of playing Bruce Maddox in PIC besides just being petulant and smarmy.

According to his bio on CalTech's page:

CalTech Biography said:

He has directed over fifty plays around the world and is a thirty-year veteran actor in the film/TV/theater industry. His roles in A Day Without a Mexican, Cradle Will Rock, Shawshank Redemption, The Player, Star Trek TNG’s “The Measure of a Man,” remain his favorites. A Fulbright Scholar; Scholar in Residence at the Indian Institute of Technology (IITGn); Yale-NUS Singapore Artist in Residence. He is a multi-recipient of the California Arts Council/Culture Affairs Department artists in community grant, and recipient of a George Soros Foundation funding award for a theater project in Bosnia.

Prior to Caltech he taught college at UC Riverside, Pomona College, Benares Hindu University, IIT Gandhinagar, and CSULA. His research Interests include theater for social change in India, an international collaboration and partnership in the transformation of culture through dialogue, storytelling and friendship.

Along with receiving a Sloan Foundation/Ensemble Studio Theater Grant, TACIT has presented at Association for Theater Higher Education (ATHE) Conference and hosted several Indian artist-activists, co-producingTesla, an original radio drama written by Dan Duling at the Pasadena Playhouse, plus performing at Descanso Gardens, and the Armory Center for the Arts. He is also the Artistic Director of Mach 33, a new science driven play festival now in its seventh year at Caltech.

Sounds to me like he has had a very successful career -- but it has been mostly a career in live theatre rather than Hollywood.
