I heard a rumor that Brian Brophy is going to play an uncredited alien in Strange New Worlds. Fans will speculate on which one he is to the point where it will erupt in a schism within the fanbase and commence a General Holy War between factions. In the end, Brophy will reveal that he in fact played all the aliens in the series, shaming us for our thoughtless and base behavior toward one another. In his final role, a Short Trek on Qo’noS, Brophy as Kahless will point to a star in the night sky and bid us find him there when we are ready. The following morning Brophy’s office at Caltech and his homes in California, Nice, Hong Kong, and Mombasa will be found empty. The following year Space-X-NASA-Yutani will announce the Pathfinder II Mission to that point of light.

Looking at his IMDb credits, it seems his career never really expanded beyond appearance on TNG, more often playing nameless characters like "Store Manager" and "Reporter". Has he had a notable role besides Bruce Maddox? Based on that, it would make sense that the PIC production would want an actor that was a little more active. It's only a one episode appearance, but there's a lot more being asked of playing Bruce Maddox in PIC besides just being petulant and smarmy.
