Brannon Braga on the Borg in Voyager + his thoughts on the show

And that is what a lot of people assumed, but "what if" Chakotay's withdrawal was due to guilt. What if he was the one that "killed" her. We've seen him lose his father, we've even seen him lose Kathryn in "Before and After," we've seen him get over a lot. Maybe this was something else.

I always figured he somehow caused her death.

Then again in the books he turns into a babbling shell of a man for a few years (?) following Janeway's death that he didn't cause.

And that is just about the worse plot line in "Full Circle," although I think Seven of Nine going crazy is just about as bad in the book.

I don't often agree with Teya, but I do here. I can totally see how the loss of a long time partner is something to get past, but they usually do even though it does change you. I don't think Chakotay would go off the deep end like that.

Yes as I have been saying ad nauseum (well it turns my stomach..) since I read all that post Janeway lit the Chakotay stuff was awful. I'm not a Chakotay fan or a J/C'er and I enjoy my little hobby of trashing him on the internets so having to actually become outraged at his character defilement was really shoves me out of my comfort zone.

He got shafted in those per-resurrection books. They turned him into an emo wreck, dragged it out to ridiculous lengths. His friends trekking through some wilderness to bring him back from his pain cave and he rejects them.. angst pulp.

And yeah the 7 stuff was almost at the same level.

Braga: "If 'Timeless' had been a TNG it would've been considered a classic"

Uh, no. "Timeless" is merely decent. Not anywhere near as good as "Flashback".

He's saying that Voyager isn't allowed to be good.

The scale for grading episodes starts at minus 6, but all us ****s drinking the TNG coolaide still call it "out of ten".

interesting that he admits the Borg were used a little too often, and that it was problematic that they kept getting their asses kicked. I guess he couldn't resist the ratings draw.

When are sweeps?

Did the all Borg stories coincide with mid season hiatus, end season or sweeps?

the big event ones did-"Scorpion," "Unimatrix Zero," and "Endgame" were season(or series) finales. Was "Dark Frontier" a sweeps event?

Hands up if you're easily manipulated!? Because they figured out how to stick their hand up your ass and make you empty your wallet into their advertising... RESIST! RESIST!

(You know this, it's your life, it's your world.)

What's with all the threads titled 'Brannon Braga...(does/says something or other)' here and ENT? I don't care to read anything about the man.

Then don't read those threads. There are people here, other than you, who might be interested. ;)

Or lurok you could just join me in my evil plan to take over Braga threads and make them all about sex.. and umm KATE, yes Kate.

That is such a good idea, how graphic can we get? The only other way I know to take over a thread is to start a chili discussion, but that only works on Texas related boards.

Come to think of it chocolate might work.

I hate the chocolate thread takeover, but then I've never been enamored with the stuff.

Of course now I've just started talking about it so I've begun the thread chocopalypse.

A sex thread takeover works, but we have to keep it acceptable for family audiences. Like when Seven enters a room and Janeway gives her a long, slow, hungry look from head to toe.
