Maybe we could use this thread as a place to brainstorm story idea's or plot points we are not sure are working.
Or we just help each others to put a bit meat on the bone of or stories. Be it about characters, OC or an alien of the week.
I love all of Star Trek, but Voyager is the one that got me writing or at least ideas for it. But even I can't deny that there is a lot of missed potential, or maybe that's what gives me ideas.
One of those ideas is about Kazon, more specific their women. The Kazon are portrayed as space pirates without their own technological development, this would be were the Kazon women step in. They are actual the once with an higher education and technical knowledge, but disagree with the men about their way of life. So the men and women live on separate ships and colonies and only meet to trade, maintain the men's ships, medical aid and reproduction. The women wouldn't educate the boys more than basic read and write and excuse it, by saying that boys are biological unable to learn well and are to aggressive to be trusted with knowledge.
What do you think, could it work?
