Back in the mid-90s I got huge Brady fever after the first movie came out. I watched the show religiously (in repeats, obviously), collected all kinds of CDs, and just was a huge Brady freak.

With that said, I've always enjoyed Sunshine Day. It just makes me think of simpler times, something that a high school kid like me was wishing for each and every day.

Worse than The Partridge's Family's cover of "We Gotta Get Out of This Place"?

I've never heard that. But given that Shirley Jones and David Cassidy were at least actual musicians I'd guess yes.

Ah. Okay. I found it on YouTube.

Yeah, while the Partridge Family version of "We gotta" isn't very good, Cassidy can actually sing and, in an event, it's still way, way, better than the Brady version of "American Pie" which didn't even feature the first half of the song's lyrics (starting with, of all things, "Helter Skelter in the summer swelter [you know, the lyric about the Manson family murders]).

Maybe that was supposed to make them appeal to an edgier audience?

Yeah, well. Compared to the Brady Bunch, the Banana Splits were edgy and the Monkees were the frikkin Velvet Underground.

Seriously, say what you will about the Monkess, but at least they had Mike Nesmith. That guy was a great musician and, it turns out, a visionary.

I hate that show more than Reality TV
hey you for got to include Susan Olsen's Porn music she did, I'd of voted for that.

And their opening act on their 1967 tour was the Jimi Fucking Hendrix Experience.

Apparently Jimi's stage act terrified the little girls that came to see the Monkees and he was kicked off the tour after a few weeks.

The only good version of Sunshine Day is the swing version I once heard in a commercial many years ago. The rest of the Brady's oeuvre is caca, and then some. At least two of the Partridge Family could sing, and what they sang wasn't too bad ('I Think I Love You; and their version of 'Breaking Up Is Hard To Do.')

Nesmith produced the cult classic movie Repo Man.

He also invented MTV. The good MTV that actually played videos.

And there was his own career as songwriter for people like Linda Ronstadt, the Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Run-DMC and the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band.

I'm torn.
It's either "Sunshine Day" or "Keep on Movin"

Maybe "Keep on Movin". Maybe. Hmmm.

.....I voted for Sunshine day ...but after I got nostalgic, I youtubed it and came up with this:

I agree with you.
I grew up with the show and find it humorous that some people relate it to FREAKING "reality shows" .
Also comparing it to the Partridge's...One was about a musical family another was about just a situational comedy one.
