I love boxing. I'm joining boxing sunday i can't wait.:bolian:

Who is your favourite boxers? Mine is tied between George Foreman, and Muhammad Ali.

Probably more towards George because his fights are more exciting ;)

I don't go out of my way to watch a Boxing match, but I do love watching Manny Pacquiao fight. He's quick, and he pretty much wins every match I see. His last fight against Margarito was very entertaining.

I find boxing extremely boring to watch, MMA is more fun imo. ;)

God no. I watch UFC usually and most of the time its boring as hell. I think only a few people are exciting that compete in MMA, like Fedor Emelianenko, he's a very exciting fighter to watch, i can't wait to watch his next bout in Strikeforce.

Roger have you even seen Muhammad Ali vs George Foreman?

Not really, only some snippets in documentaries; I occasionally watch boxing on Eurosport when I'm zapping through the channels but I just don't get the appeal; it's too, I don't know, delicate I guess for me, half the time I can't even tell who's winning. In MMA it's usually obvious who has the upper hand - the guy who's not getting strangled or kneed in the face. ;)

I tried watching MMA and was bored by it. It seemed like most of the fight was them on the ground hugging each other. It just felt like I wanted to watch a fight and a love fest broke out.

Heh, you've obviously never seen Muhammad Ali fight:scream:

I love boxing. Or at least, I used to.

Watching Muhammad Ali on ABC's Wide World of Sports...you know, back in the Stone Ages before Pay-Per-View? He was definitely The Greatest. I remember seeing a great fight bewteen Larry Holmes and Ken Norton on regular TV too.

I was also a big fan of Sugar Ray Leonard. Man he had some great fights. And of course a young Mike Tyson...not the greatest boxer, but good Lord he was brutal back then.

Those were the days my friend. The heavyweight division is a total joke (quick, without looking, who are the current Heavyweight Champs?). Do they even show heavyweight fights anymore?

Granted, Pacquio has brought some life back into the sport, but I doubt we'll ever see the glory days again.

I "discovered" boxing in the early 00's and was a follower of the Klitschko brothers for a while. Eventually it got to be too difficult to follow the sport because there were so many titles and half the important bouts weren't even televised. I have seen the first Foreman-Ali fight and it was awesome. I think Tyson also was a truly amazing boxer until his meltdown. People were terrified to get into the ring with him! He could take a world-class athlete and destroy him in the first round!

Yeah, i have no idea who the current heavyweight champion is. Hell, i don't even see boxing on tv anymore. My grandfather usually watches boxing whenever its on, but i don't know what channel it is

Rocky Balboa?

Seriously, I'm not a big fan of boxing. I enjoy box fights in movies much more than in real life.

I've become more of a fan of the sport over the past few years though I will say the Rocky films also helped get me into it. Mayweather vs. De La Hoya was the fight that got me into the sport on a more regular basis though before that I did casually enjoy following Lenox Lewis domination of the heavyweight era.

Ricky Hatton and Joe Calzaghe were people who I followed towards the latter hal of their careers. Now I watch more of UK's home grown talent but David Haye cannot seem to get a match with those Klitschko idiots but Haye show boating is beginning to bug me. Amir Khan at first I disliked because of his ego but since being beaten and teaming up with the legendary Freddie Roach, who I consider the best in the sport at training, Amir Khan has earn't my respect especially after his recent war (never mind the term fight) it was brutal.

Manny Pacquiao is a joy to watch, his speed and power is second to none in P2P terms. I really want him to fight Mayweather who btw should not of beaten Le Hoya on points several years ago. Manny Pacquiao would win that and for me become the Ali of this generation.

Watch the movie; "When We Were Kings". It is amazing, its mainly focused on Muhammad Ali and George Foreman and their fight.
