Just in case no one has this link, it's NASA's rover site. It has images from Mars from day one for both of the rovers.

Tough little bastards! :D If they're the prototype for the Cylons/androids/replicants/Terminators who will replace us, they've got my vote.

Cool! Particularly in conjunction with your av. ;)

When we get to Mars, someone needs to throw a glass dome over them wherever they die and build a monument around them.

Space tourism will need landmarks to sell those interplanetary tours.

When we finally get up there, we should bring those two rovers home and let them retire in Arizona or something.

So did I, actually. I have missed a bit of news lately due to family concerns.

I will be tremendously ecstatic if both rovers continue on for another year.

A tribute to their engineering team, perhaps this should be a new route of public relations for NASA?

Let the 2 droids be spokesbots? I guess that could work.

Why not? They already have Live Journals.

    Spirit's

    Opportunity's

Granted, they haven't been updated in about a year, but I doubt anyone expected this. :)
