does my head in sometimes! Its fun to play, but the AI is awful! instead of being cleverer and more cunning on hard, they just hate you more and all gang up on you!!

One day I will throw my disk away in frustration! If only I had another copy so I could gang up on the AI and give it a taste of its own medicine!!

lol, BOTF was a great game. I have not layed it in years but i loved playing it online.

BOTF is a good game to play. I like to play it on maximum difficulty, but use the cheats a bit to get me to a good tech level and then its a bit more challenging. Its just a shame that when I play as other races the Federation never makes Defiants or Sovereign class ships.

But I do like when the Borg turn up!

that always annoyed me actually - even if the AI doesn't cheat, the industrial powerhouse on Earth should be able to manufacture defiants and sovereigns after a bit of gameplay. but I've never seen it do it.
My particular favourite has been the few times when the Borg have seriously invaded and I've had as many as 7 cubes in the galaxy at once, with new ones replacing at least some of those i destroy. great fun - suddenly the other powers are a lot nicer to you
