Here are two ‘Borg War’ fan films from mid-90s Germany, I don’t have the first one but I wish I did! I spoke to the director years ago about receiving the first one and translating into English but we were both busy and it never happened.
I am neither German nor a German speaker, so I wouldn't know how to subtitle this, would be very interested to translate into English.
Before Continues, Before New Voyages, Before Hidden Frontier was this fan film from Germany, gifted to me by the late Bernd Felsberger. These films was made while DS9 and Voyager were on the air, so yes the CGI is basic but this was over 20 years ago, it is interesting to see how they managed to put this together. Also German fandom has always had a unique characteristic compared to their counterparts.
The aesthetic is actually copying the DS9/VOY era of Trek, so very 90s, and a female captain is made to look like Captain Janeway, hair and all! The lead role is Captain Christopher Riker, a Jonathan Frakes lookalike, while the other leads are a human called Admiral Edwards and an alien called Campri. This is a rare VHS transfer from before all the digital technology was readily available to fans and internet distribution was commonplace.
Featuring the voice of ROLF SCHULT as Captain Jean-Luc Picard, he dubbed over Patrick Stewart in TNG Seasons 1-4 as well as the four TNG movies in Germany, and WILLI WIEGAND as Captain Sovat, he was a well known Leonard Nimoy lookalike in Germany who appeared on German TV and events as Mr Spock - including the 2003 documentary Trekkies 2 and the aborted TOS/TNG crossover movie "Star Trek: Das Vermachtnis" (Star Trek: The Legacy).
