Borg Drone, assimilating memory stick data

Borg451

Captain
How Long would it take Borg Drone to assimilate information from a 2006 memory stick.

i imagine the drone would be able to create a medium for the data to travel thru and thru trail and error work out the data inputs and outputs within a few seconds...

what about accessing the data, say he wanted to see the slide of a .ppt file or a .avi would the drone construct programs that could read this? would it take a longer time?

Because it would be regarded as primitive technology compared to what they have it'd likely take them mere nanoseconds to assimilate the data, that's even with getting around any security measures that might also exist. I also think the Borg may actually actally have inputs similar to a USB input that could do the same job.

The Borg probably have info on all type of primitive computer tecnology assimilated into the collective anyway so what difference would one more little memory stick do for them.

The idea you can fathom instantly the thousands and millions of different codecs and formats and file extensions is absurd and totally unrealistic.

You need to have a frame of reference and a starting point before you can make sense of any data within a file...any file.

I mean it is like trying to open a excel file with Word or an mpeg file with quicktime. You just get gibberish.

Computers have to obey the laws of physics and a borg drone or no these things just cannot be done instantly...

Also all those absurd scenes in which the bork can work out or decrypt within a few second 255 bit AES or BLOW fish encryption is total BS.

yeh... thats my thinking.. the borg would know nothing about tech from earth in 21st Century.. unless they assimilated previously...

they wouldnt know.. what to do..

what does everyone else think?
