So I was reading up on some things to do this summer and I remembered last season really wanting to make it to Carowinds in the South Carolina to try out the Borg Assimilator coaster. So anyways, I made my way to their page to find no mention of it anywhere. I was sure that was it, so I researched a bit and apparently for the 2008 season it's getting renamed the Nighthawk? 
Sadness.
Now if I recall, Carowinds used to be a Paramount owned park and then they sold it... so that's probably what killed it. Still, sad to see it go before I ever made my way there. Anybody ever have the oppourtunity? It looked really neat, especially the giant sphere crashed in the middle of the ride. I love coasters, and clearly Trek... Just wondering what I missed...
