Books including schematics?

I'm aware of two Pocket Books novels over the pas several years that included fold-out schematics: Star Trek: Vanguard: Harbinger and Star Trek: Titan: Sword of Damocles. Excluding technical/reference type books, are there any other books, specifically novels, that have had these types of included extras that I may have missed over the years?

I love seeing things in my minds eye and creating a whole new world in my imagination when I'm reading but I'm also a techie and a sucker for schematics and the like. I love it when the publisher goes the extra mile with goodies like this and would love to see any other examples I may have missed during my ten year hiatus from Star Trek literature.

Thanks.

The novel Battlestations! (yes with a exclamation point) had what looked like a hand drawn schematic of a ship that is featured in the story. The SS Banana Republic.

The Brave and the Bold, Book Two contains specifications for the I.K.S. Gorkon, first of the Qang class.

IIRC, its preceding volume Dreadnought! also had a schematic of a small fighter-type ship that figured in that book.

Joe Haldeman's World Without End from Bantam had, I believe, a "report" at the end ("written" by Spock?) discussing the world-ship construct they explored in the book, including an illustration or two thereof.

This is stretching it a bit, but Federation had a diagram of Zephram Cochrane's warp effect, which was in the same shape as the Starfleet Delta Emblem.

Wait, it's The Brave and the Bold, Book 2 that's supposed to have a schematic of the Gorkon? Otherwise, no copy of any of the Gorkon books I have ever seen has ever had a schematic for that ship.

Also not quite the same, but A Stitch in Time had a couple of maps of Cardassia Prime at the start. IIRC there was a map of a training ground used for a survival exercise, and a street map of a district of the capital.

I loved the diagrams of the fighter shuttles in Dreadnought, and the freighter in Battlestations. They were done in a similar style to Franz Joseph's old Technical Manual.

I don't recall - did Death's Angel have a line drawing of the SSI uniform at the back, or just verbal descriptions of the colour schemes and rank emblems?

Will there be a schematic of the Aventine in the first Typhon Pact book, a la the Luna gatefold in the "Sword of Damocles" book?

I would have liked that, and it still might happen in the future, but I dont think the first Typhon Pact book includes one. I really want to discuss these kind of things with the editor, but I believe there is a change going on in that area. For now all I can do is just wait, I have 9 other ships on hold until authorized as being the "official" designs.

The next 3 months all I will do is moving into a new house and redesign Voyager. (More then enough work.) :)

So does that mean we will be seeing more of the Aventine in the future?

Someone "might" be being unnecessarily sarcastic.

I think he would have figured it out on his own.

No sarcasm intended, merely clarification. Nothing wrong with trying to help someone figure something out faster.
