Spoilers Book of Boba Fett [Spoiler Discussion]

I forgot to mention it earlier, but I think the Train Driver Droid might be my new favourite random Star Wars side character since Lobot. I like how un-droidlike his reaction was by just jumping out the window and booking it for freedom.

Also I don't know why, but seeing the worrt made me unreasonably happy.
I can admit to thinking Boba Fett is/was cool, especially as a kid. Cool costume, had a rocket/jet pack, bounty hunter, competent, could talk back to Vader and not get smacked. I am old enough and was young enough to catch his debut on the Holiday Special. Worked for me.
Yeah, it always baffles me when people say "they don't get the appeal of Boba Fett". Not finding him appealing, that I get. But not understanding why a cool looking mysterious dude with a rocket pack that has Darth Vader reminding him to dial back the lethality is popular with 8-12 year olds? That's just being obtuse.
Oh, I'm aware. I just find it amusing when people slight Solo for being unasked for as this that determines quality. Boba Fett and Mandalorian were completely unasked for yet somehow are "saving Star Wars."
Over the last few years, 'Solo' may have just edged out 'Rogue One' as my favourite Disney Star Wars movie. Indeed if I were so inclined to make those tedious ranking lists (I'm not), it would probably be in the top 4 or 5.

I'm not 8-10. Neither is most of the people whom I share Star Wars with.

I thought the first episode was a little boring but I really enjoyed this one. I do hope this season isn't like 75% flashbacks, though; I want to see Boba establishing himself as a crime lord.

Black Krrsantan showing up was a pleasant surprise. He's one of the cooler additions to the Disneyverse so it's nice to see him make the transition to live action. Hopefully he and Boba will have a showdown at some point.

I swear there was an "okie dokie" as it scooted off.

I was pretty bored with the first episode, but really liked this one. The plot moved with a much more deliberate intent and the pacing was much better. Just better direction, all around.

Why do I have a feeling something bad is going to happen to that Tribe now though?
I hoping for the exadt oposite.

The way I see it, either this tribe and the one Mando befriended last season get a long okay or hate each other. While the latter certainly has more potential for suspense and drama, I'm going to assume it's the former. So I envision Boba and Mando walking out of the desert haze -- with their respective tribes behind them -- marching on the city on their way to rough=up some Hutts. The season 2 finale seems like a good time for this.

That's a false equivalency.

It's not that people didn't ask for a Han Solo movie. They didn't ask for THAT Han Solo movie. Or rather they didn't ask for a Han Solo movie where the primary purpose was to explain the existence of random stuff. that didn't require an explanation.

That's an ex post facto rationalization. The statements I saw were all about how no one asked for a Solo film...period. Not that the film was the wrong type of Solo film.

I’ve never liked Fett. I rolled my eyes when people said the sound of spurs confirmed Fett saved Shand in The Mandolorian…..however, I loved it when he showed up in season 2……I have loved both episodes so far so I’m putting my faith in Dave Filloni and Jon Favreau. They seem to know better than I do about what I need. I can admit I was wrong.

I've never liked Fett and probably never will. But, as a growing person there is an appeal. Filoni and Favreau are on a short leash for me but there is sufficient intrigue to hold interest.

Can't say the main story or flashbacks are really grabbing me. The flashbacks feel very similar to Dune and Lawrence of Arabia giving it a been there, done that take. Not sure what they're trying to show us. Boba Fett growing more of a heart? Learning to work with others? I fully expect the Tuskens or multiple tribes to show up at some point in the main timeline to serve as Fett's army.

I did like Fett's tripping scene where he oscillated between his armored and unarmored self, as well as the flashbacks to Kamino relating to his father. I feel like his love and grief for Jango is crucial to the character and look forward to seeing that fleshed out more.

It reminded me of the auto pilot from Bugs Bunny.

I too got Lawrence of Arabia and Dances with Wolves vibes……however I also realized maybe only 20% of people under 40 have seen both of those films. I estimate, but I’d be shocked if I was off by much.

H/T to @UssGlenn for catching my typo

2nd part was better. Boba is still way too soft though. Are they building up to a moment when he goes off, or will him and his crew be more like the A-Team? It's keeping me interested anyway. I think a whole new legion of fans will come from this show. Kids love this stuff.

I really liked that Wookie. i wasn't aware he was a previous character until someone told me this morning. The twin Hutts are awesome too. And of course Boba can't kill them, they made that clear right away so I am guessing he will be feuding with them at times throughout the series.

Boba's lizard dreams and transformation were long and drawn out though.

That one to me also didn't make sense. I can accept a drug lizard crawling his way into a human's head without ripping anything vital ( it's Star Wars, not National Geographic) but where the hell did Boba get that branch in the desert? He just stumbled upon a tree in the middle of the desert?

The episode was really good, a good mix of flashback vs. current storyline but they should reduce the flashbacks and concentrate more on the current story. The flashbacks did what they needed to do - explain how he escaped the Sarlacc pit and how he came to appear in Tusken garb in Mandalorian.

I too get the feeling that the Tusken may play a role later in the season if they go for the showdown with the Hutts, Boba's crime empire currently has 3 employees and that's a bit thin.

The lizard it just hanging out in his nasal cavity, plenty of room there. And the whole point of the lizard was to lead him to a tree. You know, I'm surprised I hadn't ever heard anyone complain about where the Tuscans get their wood from before. It has to come from somewhere. There must be trees scattered around, just one isn't enough to supply everyone with gaffi sticks. This assumes that the vision quest is the normal way to get one and not a rare special occasion.

I was actually thinking about where they were getting their wood from. Boba and the Rodan were tied up to wooden posts. The Tuskens were having big bonfires too. But it's TV. I will let it pass.

I've seen people complain before that Tatooine shouldn't have any kind of plant life, which only makes me think they didn't pay very much attention since in ANH, there's plant life all over the place if you look. At the moisture farm, in the jundland wastes canyon, etc.
As for where the branch came from; probably an old dead tree from an old dried up oasis somewhere in the dunes.
