Spoilers Book of Boba Fett [Spoiler Discussion]

I'm 61 and got carded buying beer at the grocery store a few months ago. I think it had more to do with my COVID mask than my boyish good looks though. ;)
I've always had the problem of looking older than I actually am. Even when I was a kid, my mother was frequently pulling out my birth certificate to prove I was young enough for child prices to be eligible.

Am I the only one who thinks this show is pretty boring? Fett has done very little in the present besides walk to the mayor's office and back, the flashbacks are getting tedious ...
Well, because a) Fett came out of the tank and was pronounced healed, and b) the flashbacks have pretty much caught up with The Mandalorian, I think your tedium may be over on that count.

I hope so, but frankly, I think this show should have picked up the pace before now.

That depends on what the show's focus is. I'm not convinced it's the growing gang war that things seem to be building to. I genuinely think the focus of the series is on Boba and Fennec. Who I don't expect to remain friendly through the end of the show's run.

What follow is just supposition on my part, no spoilers. But...

Somebody had the Tuskens killed. The speeder gang was framed for it, their symbol left at the crime scene. But the Pykes make so much more sense. And the Pykes wouldn't have done it themselves, they would have paid someone to do it for them.

Shortly after the Tuskens are all murdered, we know for a fact that there was one recognizable professional assassin on Tatooine. We know this because she had a run in with some Guild Bounty Hunters that didn't end well.

Now she's Boba's second. He's promised her loyalty. But what if it turns out that she's the one who murdered his "family?" Even on a contract? Is there anybody here watching this who thinks that ends well?

I think this is a much smaller, more personal series than anybody is giving it credit for.

I'm not seeing much of a potential for drama between Boba & Fennic. We still barely know anything about her and so far she seems to be a genuine follower of Fett's new creed. I think it's been mentioned somewhere that most of her former employers in the mid-rim are currently in the New Republic's penal system, with a warrant and bounty out for her arrest. So a major part of this may simply be that she has nowhere else to go, and building a niche here is her best option. I mean sure, the Hutts could try and buy her off, but she knows better than to trust the Hutts (plus she saw with her own eyes as they offhandedly *gave away* Santy to be sold back into slavery.) There's no future down that road. The Pyks could make a similar offer, and probably with similar results.

So her options are 1) stick it out for as long as it still makes sense, and/or 2) cut and run, and hope to find some other backwater to disappear on.

Also remember she's be in the life for at least as long as Boba has, and probably just as tired if the lack of stability.
