Bond girls in WHO

Chris227

Lieutenant Commander
So far we've only had Catherine Schell (One of Bond's conquest in ON HER MAJESTY'S SECRET SERVICE) and a geratric Honor Blackman. Miss Moneypenny from the Brosnan films has shown up in SJA, though.

Should any other actresses from Bond films show up?

Christina Cole--Lilith in The Shakespeare Code--was briefly in Casino Royale. I've a sneaking suspicion there may be others but nothing concrete springs to mind at the moment.

But yes, more Bond girls please! (Only not Halle Berry or Denise Richards...)

I can't think of any Bond girls but I can think of at least one villain (Julian Glover) and one henchman (Roy Stewart) who have appeared in classic Doctor Who.

Pamela Salem from Robots of Death and Rememberance Of The Daleks played Miss Moneypenny in the Warner Brothers James Bond movie Never Say Never Again.

When was Christina in Casino Royale? I don't recall her in it. Refresh my memory.

And Colin Salmon (Charles Robinson in the Brosnan era Bond films) appeared as Dr Moon in Moffat's 'Silence in the Library' two parter this year.

Good call on colin Salmon, as for Christina she plays the receptionist at the resort in the Bahamas, the one Bond books a room with and identifies Demitrious via-- not a hugwe part but bigger than Stella from Waking the Dead's role in the film

Michael 'The Valeyard' Jayston played Bond himself in a Radio 4 version of You Only Live Twice around 1990, with Clive Merrison (Tomb of the Cybermen/Paradise Towers) as Tiger Tanaka. And more recently both Martin Jarvis (Vengeance on Varos) and Simon Williams (Remembrance/Daleks) were in the Radio 4 version of Dr No that went out this spring.

There's quite a few people who've had bit parts in both Who and Bond, of course - George Baker was in Full Circle and dubbed Bonmd for some of OHMSS, Anthony Ainley is one of the policemen who find Bond after his assassination in YOLT, and in the poster magazine for View to a Kill David Yip's quoted along the lines of "Yes, I've been in Doctor Who. I'm a British actor, of course I've been in Doctor Who, it's a condition of your Equity card'.

Update: Coincidentally, the latest schedules for BBC Radio 7 show they'll be repeating that production of You Only Live Twice for the first time on 1st November.

Samantha Bond was in TSJA (and returns in the current series).

Maryam d'Abo was in one of the Big Finish audios.

Judi Dench hasn't been in DW, but surely it's only a matter of time.

Who of course brings you back to Geofrey Palmer, who's done old Who, new Who and Brosnan 007.

John Cleese has done both, among other things ;)

Oh, good one. I forgot about Geoffrey Palmer.

And EMH, that means Julian Glover has appeared in the Dr Who, James Bond, Indiana Jones, and Star Wars universes. That is quite a feat, I think.

Which I think makes him one better than Michael Sheard as I don't think he ever did Bond, though he did all the rest.

Both men also did Blakes 7 making them even cooler :)

But they didn't do Star Trek! LAME!!!

Which raises the question; is there anyone who's done both?

A few - Guy Siner for starters (Malcolm's dad in Enterprise, General Ravon in Genesis of the Daleks), also Maurice Roeves (Caves of Androzani/TNG: The Chase). Though nobody from the original Trek has done Who that I know of.
