Bob's Burgers

I actually bucked down last night and watched a full episode of Bob's Burgers. Long story short, I watched The Simpsons for the first time in a year, needed something to do during the half hour between Simpsons and Family Guy, so I decided the option that required the least amount of work was to just keep the TV on.

I'll repeat my earlier statement when the show first premiered: it just isn't funny. I wouldn't say it's particularly awful or painful to watch, it just doesn't make me laugh. I'm sitting there I'm waiting for a joke, wanting to laugh, but nothing happens. The only time I did laugh during that half hour was during a commercial break when they had a tie-in commercial with the movie Rio, in which a character from Rio says something like "Bob's Burgers is loosely funny, but [something I can't remember] is much better." Pretty sad that even its own sponsors are slagging the show.

Bob's Burgers renewed.

There are times when I don't understand Fox, and this is one of them. The channel with a reputation to cancel anything and everything keeps this piece of crap?
They also kept Fringe which by all accounts didn't technically deserve it but hey NBC kept 30 Rock all this time as well and it's not a ratings winner. Both are critical darlings and for these two shows perhaps that was enough.

Network decision like this on Burgers fills me with false hope that perhaps other shows that are on the bubble or said to be dead, like V or $#*! My Dad Says(shows I like) might somehow find a way as well.

I've only seen one full episode of Bob's Burgers and just a few snipets for minutes at a time while flipping channels. I wasn't on the floor with side splitting laughter but of what I saw found it passable enough. Congrats to it's fans!!

BOB"S BURGERS is not crap what is or was crap was LOST .
and remake of bionic woman .

Apparently, there's no accounting for grammar, either.

On-topic, I'm glad to hear the news, as I rather like Bob's Burgers. I stumbled on it on Hulu a few weeks back and plan on keeping up with it.

I have not kept up with all the episodes but it's a funny show and extremely quirky for a network show so I'm glad it's renewed. :techman:
