Bob's Burgers

The one-minute clip I saw a couple days ago was all I needed to see. I don't know what they were thinking with this.

And why the hell is H. Jon Benjamin in every damn piece of animation these days? He's terrible. He sounds exactly the same in every role I've heard him do.

As Starbreaker said, it was painfully unfunny. It was easily the worst show Fox has ever aired .... and that's the network that did Herman's Head and Woops!

Well that should be the last show, how the Fuck did that get on the air??

I was thinknig that too!

In 2-3 minutes I watched during other show's commercials was truly horrid! My god I can't believe how awful it was! Made Family Guy look amazing!

American dad should be getting more episodes now.

Well I liked it. It had the typical style of a Loren Bouchard production, kind of an awkward start-stop style humor. Reminded me of Home Movies which I also liked. I think it's way too quirky to stay on the air though.

I laughed out loud at a couple of parts. I thought the speech scene where he was just about to rally the crowd then starting rambling about cannibalism was very funny. H. Jon is great at those off-topic rants.

I haven't seen anything H. Jon Benjamin has been in recently so it was nice to hear his voice again. (Checking IMDB though I guess he's been in a lot, I've just never seen it)

I didn't mind it, but that might have low expectations at work - Animation Domination is not what it used to be.

I thought itwas funny, i'd rather see American Dad though.

Yeah, I don't get the shift of American Dad -- it is easily the best of Seth MacFarlane's shows, and yet it's been shunted to the timeslot that's usually occupied by NFL and NASCAR overrun or analysis to fill the 20 minutes before The Simpsons starts. It makes no sense to put a first-run show in there, given the likelihood of pre-emption or "we now join your regularly scheduled programming, already in progress."

Also, Bob's Burgers was about as funny as a televised lynching. What a disaster. Granted, animated shows very rarely have good pilots, but this was just awful.

American Dad, while the best of the MacFarlane shows, is also unfortunately the lowest-rated. They've probably moved it to the Futurama death slot so they can kill it off.

It's the best thing on the night, so just like Futurama they treat it like shit.

I lasted as far as:
"There is a line where entertaining because just annoying,"
"no there isn't that a myth,"

I responded: "no, it's true, and you just crossed it."

I'll be deleting it and not looking for any future episodes.

you mean the cleveland show outrates American Dad?

Mein Gott as Klaus would say.

Are you insinuating that there was something wrong with Herman's Head?

I bet Colin Baker even liked Herman's Head. :)

The creators of this show apparently thought that the notion of a diner owner who was suspected of putting human flesh in his product so hysterical they repeated that gag several times during the episode. And the diner owner also has a specialty hamburger that's called (get this) the "child molester." Oh, stop! You're killing me!

There are only two possible explanations for a show like "Burgers". Either the show's writers have the intellectual capacity of sea sponges, or they are betting that the majority of the American television viewing audience has the intellectual capacity of sea sponges. Unfortunately, the latter is a bet they are likely to win.

Wow, I watched it hoping to see some extra strength enter Animation Domination. Instead, I saw Bob's Burgers. And I agree, putting American dad at 7:30 is a HUGE mistake. I'm interested to see what ratings come in for it, I'm sure they had a look in audience given how they were advertising it between every play in football for 3 weeks, but what will happen to it next week?

I watched for ten minutes and didn't see a joke my 10-year old couldn't have done better.
