Boat-Loads of T:SCC Season 2 Stuff

So I got season one of "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" early last week. Just began watching it today. It's much better the second time around. I liked it first run, but I was on the fence on how much until seeing it again. I've noticed so many little easter-egg homages to moments, dialogue, or scenes from the prior films now. It's freaky, because I think a lot of it was unintentional - just in the sub-psyche of the writers and directors from being fans of the films and so it ended up in the show. It's hard to point to specific things, because they're all so little, but when you see them together it's like stepping back and looking at a puzzle you where only focusing on one piece of.

Anyway...

I went looking, and found a lot of cool stuff for Season 2. Thought I'd share since I've not seen any of this stuff posted.

Basically, if you go to http://www.terminatorchronicles.com you'll find it all yourself. But I'll point out some specific high-lights...

just out of curiocity, is there any extra episode content on the dvds, i'm still on the fence on picking them up

Yeah, the DVDs are pretty good. They actually have *gasp* special features. Rarity these days -- don't get me started on how lazy and lame any studio who skimps on such is, IMHO.

Each disc has special features. There are 3 docu-dramas, deleted scenes for about half the episodes, commentaries for about half the episodes, gag reel, audition tapes, an extended (but unfinished) version of "Demon's Hand" (the one that revisited Silberman) along with it's normal, finished version. Uhm... trying to remember what else. There is more.

I'd say pick it up. It's only $18.99 on Amazon, I think. Or 17... either way, the show itself is what you buy it for, but that said, yeah it has plenty of special features. More than 90% of shows released in the past 3-4 years, I'd say.

The studios are so stupid, they think special features are pointless wastes of money, but now that the audience has had a taste for them, we expect - nay, demand them - and when they skimp out... oh boy does it hurt their bottom line.

I bought mine w/out knowing anything on special features. I'm a mega Terminator fan, though, and I know that they'll consider DVD sales when it comes time to giving it another go-around order (either 13 more season 2 eps, or a 3rd 13 episode season).
